A demining map for territories for 9 years has been agreed upon in Ukraine.

The roadmap was agreed at a meeting of the Coalition, led by Iceland and Lithuania.

– Contamination of Ukrainian lands with explosive devices and explosive remnants of war is one of the greatest threats to the civilian population.

Decisive actions and additional efforts are needed to clear territories, protect people and ensure stability in the post-conflict period, – noted Ukrainian Colonel Ruslan Beregulya.

At the end of his speech, he called on countries that have not yet joined the Coalition to join this important humanitarian initiative.

– Thanks to the help of foreign partners, we are strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to effectively conduct combat operations and repel Russian armed aggression. Through joint efforts, we are bringing our victory closer, and as a result – a peaceful and secure future for Ukraine, – noted Major General Dmytro Gerega.
