Mine PFM-1, or "petal"

PFM-1 (anti-personnel high-explosive mine), which was repeatedly found by specialists of LLC “IDH” during the clearing of the territory of Ukraine, was produced in the Soviet Union, mining is carried out remotely - with the help of aviation, artillery and missile systems.

Such mines are insidious in that they are small in size, mostly brown or green in color, but can be of other colors - this makes the “petal” inconspicuous among the grass.

A big problem is also that they are made mainly of plastic. That is, they are quite difficult to find with the help of metal detectors, which are usually used to search for mines.

It is known that children often confuse them with toys, which leads to numerous victims.

In case of finding a deadly mine, do not try to neutralize it yourself. Fence off the place of discovery, notify the relevant security services.
