Over 160 thousand hectares of agricultural land have already been surveyed in Ukraine
"To date, more than a third of agricultural land designated for priority return to economic exploitation has been surveyed. According to the OVA, last week alone, pyrotechnicians surveyed over 3.5 thousand hectares of agricultural land in four regions of Ukraine. In particular, 135 hectares of agricultural land were surveyed in Kharkiv region, 393 hectares in Chernihiv region, 1,019 hectares in Mykolaiv region, and 1,968 hectares in Kherson region," the press service of the Ministry of Economy said.
In total, over 160 thousand hectares of agricultural land out of 470 thousand hectares designated for priority demining have been surveyed since the beginning of the year.
The Ukrainian government is working to strengthen the capabilities of mine action operators. In particular, it will significantly accelerate the pace of surveying and demining of territories using demining machines and modern survey technologies.
